This place has come a long way from being nearly forgotten. Worth the time if you can stop and learn just a little about the area and its importance.

To really get a good history of Clarksville and it's surrounding areas, Fort Defiance is certainly worth a visit. The staff is very enthusiastic about the center and what it offers. Plan at least two hours or more to enjoy the center, walk the fort and take a trail down to the river.
Great place to go walking or pokemon going. Has a lot of fun facts with history on signs. There are a few civil war cannons on display which are fun to take pictures with.
