For the record, this is not a vindictive review. The case was decided in my favor and Ms. Massey was unsuccessful in erasing her client's substantial child support arrears.
Let me start off by saying how unprofessional this women is.. I, my husband and our two small children just moved here and are learning how to get around via GPS. We were running a few errands and our GPS just so happened to take us down a side road and at the end of the road there are signs saying not to enter the street because it was a one way. My husband and I had no choice but to turn into a parking lot which we had no indication of it being a law firm from pulling in the back alley way. There were no indications of it being a private parking area, it was just a parking area. With an attempt to turn around to prevent from driving into the one way street - just as we were pulling out of the parking lot, PUBLIC parking lot, an older very nicely dressed women comes running as fast as she can up to my car, yelling and cursing at us and then blocks us from exiting the parking lot onto the regular street. She begins beating on my window as hard as she could, I thought she was going to bust it.. so I rolled my window down not knowing why in the world this women is yelling and beating on my car! She starts yelling and cursing at me saying she is "tired of this" and calling me very uncalled for names all whilst my small child is sitting in the back seat asking her mommy why this lady is screaming at us. I NEVER once raised my voice at this women or said anything harsh to her in any manner. My husband and I asked her to calm down and stop yelling because we had no idea why she was so angry! This women screamed at us and made us back out of the PUBLIC parking lot where there were no signs saying it was a private area as she was claiming it to be. Her excuse was that the signs were in production meaning they were trying to get some, acknowledging they had no signs. This women threatened to call the cops on my family and I when we had done no wrong all while she was screaming profanities in my face and blocking our way and scaring our children. She accused us of driving through her lot multiple times when we had never even been in the area before. We left the one way area and pulled to the front of her building from a main road to try and resolve the issue and explain to this women that we had no intention of any wrong doing and she should not have yelled at us in this manner but her partner or assistant, a younger women, is the one that came to speak to us and apologize. Her actions were completely uncalled for and I for one with a stepfather that is a lawyer, would never use this women for anything. I am appalled by this women's actions and how she treated me and my family with nothing but disrespect.
I'll start by making it clear that I am not a current or former client of Ms. Massey. Sharon Massey represented my son's mother when she was summoned to court for failure to pay her child support obligation. As I was driving to the courthouse for the hearing, Ms. Massey's office called to tell me the hearing was postponed and I would be contacted by the court with the new date. I am an active duty military member and had taken leave to come from another state to attend this hearing and was angry for the late notice. I went to court anyway to find out why the hearing was postponed. When I got there and spoke to the clerk, I found out the hearing had not been postponed. When the court session started, someone from Ms. Massey's office asked the judge to for a continuace which was subsequently denied. Had I taken Ms. Massey's employee's word for it when she called I would have missed my opportunity to object. I believe the actions of Ms. Massey and her employee were unethical were intended to trick me into not being in court so they could make their motion unopposed. My hope is that both prospective clients and people who may be facing her in court read this review so they know the kind of tactics they may encounter. Make sure you do your research before you believe anything this attorney or her office tells you.
Expensive but she is the best.
My experience is from papers sent to my home where Sharon Massey is representing my husband for marital dissolution. Number 1, her client failed to give her correct information, #2- So many errors, and papers made no sense. #3- apparently she tries to strip her clients spouse down to zero belongings. #4- No woman in her right mind would ever accept the terms in the papers she sends out. #5- she needs to question her client as to extra money he makes, and did not include in this marital dissolution complaint. #5- She being a lawyer, and the wife of a judge, has no clue what she is putting a woman with an incurable disease through with these ludicrous paragraphs her office types. #6- Her client makes more than enough money to pay any expenses for his wife until she can make provisions for herself. #7- this defendant will not sign any papers with such ridiculous wants from the husband. #8- Honestly expects me to maintain that sorry mans last name. REALLY? Sorry Ms. Massey, it's not happening. And last but not least, those papers were not delivered certified mail as any good lawyer knows is the correct way to do things. Not signing any such ridiculous document,
