My husband and I just left this DMV after getting new to TN drivers licenses due to arriving from Germany. We were checked in at the front and assisted in a timely manner for processing and testing. Everyone we came in contact with was enjoyable, smiling, and had a sense of humor. We both agree that their customer service is exceptional and I'm sorry to hear so many negative reviews when our experience was completely the opposite.
Just a simple name change since I got married. And I was sitting there for hours. When back to the lady who called my number and said to fill out a form and they would call me by my name she was extremely rude and said “ you have been here for a while.” And I told her no one called my name like she said they would and she replied with I never said that. If this was the damn case why would you knowingly have me sitting there for hours. I never liked this place since I have been stationed here for four years. I’d rather drive 30 min out of town into Hopkinsville than deal with this place ever again!
Went to ask one of the ladies at the desk if they were booked on appointments or if I’d even get called or not and she was extremely rude and told me it was up to me whether or not to wait for them, not for them to call me. The gentlemen who does the drivers test was literally sitting around for two hours not doing anything with no cars parked in the driver’s test spot and they still didn’t even glance at the walk in list for the driver’s test. My advice for any fellow service members looking to get their lisence here.... go to Kentucky.
Sat there literally from the time they were open until the time they closed waiting to get called for my drivers license. They told me I was a walk in and my name would get called.
Never did.
Very professional and polite. Compared to Georgia and Colorado, I was in and out in 30 minutes. Just have your need original paperwork (no copies) and things will go smoothly.
Packed all day, every day. Two hour wait time minimum. Half of Clarksville trying to fit into a small building. Great job taking care of your residents. Lunch breaks running the whole two hours. Seems like they need more employees. Typical government service. Doesn't even deserve a star.
