Prices are way to high, and their staff are not to friendly or helpful. Gentleman said look around and when you decide on what your buying let me know. He didn't seem to want to deal with us unless we were buying. We did buy a few things that day, just not there... Beware of this place.
I usually support local when I can, but the attitude of the staff were very offputting. Felt like we were being talked down to regarding our appliance selection. Ended up going to another store for our purchase. This was especially disappointing since I have bought several major appliances from them over the years.
Clarksville friends, please share this post concerning my dads experience dealing with BALDWINS APPLIANCE. My dad, Wayne McWhorter bought a Maytag washing machine from Baldwins, on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.,and it was delivered on Friday 9/22/17. The first time they used it , he noticed that it was not working properly. Despite being level, it had an unusual vibration that could not be accounted for. He called Balwins on Monday 9/25/17 and told them about the problem. Since then they have been out to make repairs on 4 separate occasions but the issue persists. My dad has been to Baldwins a few times in an attempt to resolve this with no luck. My dad finally asked for a new washer and was told by the manager that " that was not going to happen". On his last visit to the store, the manager, I believe his name is Courtney George,told my dad that he felt threatened by my dads insistance on a resolution and that he was going to CALL THE POLICE IF HE DID'NT LEAVE THE STORE. Now, my dad is 75 years old and I can count the numbers of times Ive seen him angry on one hand. This is ridiculous. My dad finally called the manufacturer, who told him that if he had bought this at Lowes or Home Depot, that those stores would have replaced it with no problem. It should not have been an issue for Baldwins to do the same. This was a decision made by Baldwins. They could have made this right but chose not to do so.. So now, my eldely parents who live on a fixed income are left with a defective appliance. Baldwins should be ashamed of how they have treated their customer. I am sure he will never deal with them again and I would urge you not to waste your time either. I appreciate your help in getting this story out, maybe saving someone else from the same issue.
