Other than that, our experience was fantastic. I love spicy, Cajun food and they definitely did not disappoint. The amount of food you get is equal to the price you pay. And everything was decently priced. I would recommend to anyone.
My husband and I had a great date night here last night. We saved our spot on the wait list before we left the house. We had a couple adult beverages at the Speak Easy, accessed from Strawberry Alley, and by the time we finished our drinks, they were ready for us downstairs. Even though they had a large party from another local event come in right behind us, we were served in a timely manner. All of the staff were very friendly. I loved the feel of the building, I just wish they played more New Orleans style music. I was expecting some jazz or big brass band! Not your average radio station music.
I love this place. I will definitely be back. I brought my mother here who is a native of New Orleans and she loved the food as well. The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The service was outstanding and again the food was amazing and made us feel like we were back at home in NOLA.
Had dinner there for the first time this week. Friendly staff, cool environment, and the food was very good. Note that the beignets are huge! Actually, all of the portions were large for the price. If I had anything even moderately negative to say it would be that their shoestring style fries weren't as crispy as I would prefer and were inconsistently seasoned. They were still good though. I will certainly return and recommend it to friends. It's nice having good places to eat that aren't huge national chains.
It's a good atmosphere and fun restaurant. I can't say I'm a connoisseur but we do love Cajun food! Food was flavorful and did not disappoint. Four stars instead of five because there was no changing table in the bathroom so I had to change my baby on the bathroom floor. :(. Thank you for great service and food!
I have to say; awesome place. The atmosphere is great. Great customer service, hats off to Maggie!! Plus, this place had one of the cleanest restrooms that I've seen in a very long time. The food was just as good. I recommend the oyster po'boy!!
