Went there to get front brakes done. One of the calipers was bad, and needed to be replaced no big deal. The math started happening and they were going to do the work for me, $440.00. I was a little shocked so I asked if he was serious, which he assured me he was. The caliper was going to be $180.00. I asked him to put it back together at that point. Went to advanced auto, got all the parts for 95, and for a case of beer my buddy will help me. I suggest everyone do the same 400% mark up in just plain wrong.
They are crooks. Very dishonest. Shadey operation.
I love the fact that even though I am a woman they always give me a fair price. I had another auto shop that tried to charge me $300. Just to look at an electrical problem. Midas only charge me $65. They also saved me money on my tune up. I take my family there when they come into town. I trust all my cars to the shop on Riverside. They do great work.
Just spent $500 with "discounts" for brakes all around. 2 new rotors on my 4WD ... My truck wasn't driven after the "maintenance" .... I hear rubbing and squealing the next day and took it to Midas on Charlotte to find out this Midas jammed the hardware for the pads into my NEW rotors. NICE. NOT! Thank you Midas on Charlotte for a before and after maintenance drive. And thank you for fixing this incompetence that risks our safety on the roads. Rachel Knight Miller must be personally connected with the employees. I went to a tire specific place, Goodyear, and got the same service and saved myself over $150.
Today's experience ... a year later ... I'm satisfied. 4 new tires, resurfacing the rotors, oil change. It took a while, waiting for the tires to come, and I still don't know why they didn't do the oil change while waiting for the tires to come from Hopkinsville, but they did. And I would have liked more choices on tires. I was given 2 choices. Otherwise, I've upgraded the initial 1 star rating to 4. Thank you, Lucky!
had a man call and he was told diagnostics were free. i went in there and was told i had to pay $80 for that. one was on the phone with a personal call asking a friend to get her lunch and a guy was talking to the lady on the phone. they said what do you need i said i need to figure out what is wrong with my vehicle they told me $80. i tried to tell them what i was experiencing with it but they went back to their conversation and completely ignored me so i walked out. too busy with personal conversations about what days they are taking off and for what to help someone. whatever, you dont have time for me i dont have time for you.
