My husband had his post op today from shoulder surgery. The nurse came in, hardly said anything and just started ripping all his bandages and tape off. He almost hit her. He asked her to stop because it was pulling his hair. The tape was on his chest, back and arm. It was so painful for him and it was causing him to move his arm and shoulder , which he was not supposed to do. She pulled so hard, she ripped off some of his skin. She didn't even try to make it better. Then they cut his stitches and said , okay bye. No instructions about cleaning, mobility, could he shower, could he work, nothing. I was so mad. On top of that they have overcharged us by about $400 in this whole process. It takes an act of congress to get the money back but they wouldn't even schedule his surgery until we paid up front. They are not there for the patients.
My wife and I have used TOA for 10 years and we have had nothing but praise for the doctors and therapists at TOA. They treat you with respect, listen to your concerns and answer your questions fully. Wait times may be a little long but it is worth it. I recommend TOA to all our friends and they share our opinion.
I was trying to schedule an appointment as a new patient and the person that I was speaking to was not friendly. She sound like she didn't like her job. She asked for all of information including insurance, but after taking down all of my information, she ask for my insurance number. I told her that I didn't have it on me and that I left it at home, she was really rude. she stated well I can't make your appointment. This is something she should have asked for before asking me for all of my information from the start. If you don't like your job, then go find a new one. I would NEVER recommend this orthopedic office to anyone! Don't waste your time. They deserve 0 stars.
Beginning with the expert and compassionate work done to repair a spiral fracture of my husband's leg to a number of my own Orthopaedic issues during this decade, TOA has been first rate. Expert care, prompt and compassionate medical care is always the norm.
Every single visit they are always "running behind" about 1-1.5 hours. It is super rediculous!!!
