Honestly, we are hoping to turn out to be the type of people who "never look at their wedding photos"...which is not the sentiment we intended to have when we hired a professional to capture our day. The hoops to jump through several months post-wedding, just to obtain decent quality photos was truly mindblowingly insane. All compiled to be a horrible/not to mention remarkably stressful experience, which is very sad and disappointing all around, and not ideal for anyone involved.
Some things to know include: The "low" USB/file size option is remarkably low (.5MB) and prints very pixelated even at a 4x6 (from your own choice of printing services). You have the option to purchase a higher file size (10-15MB) for an additional fee (for data, which already exists, at no cost to her). Additionally, you have the option to order individual photos printed via her website, for an additional cost ($5-20 per print, depending on the size)...for photos that you already paid for. Additionally, she asked if we would prefer the files in the RAW format, then later stated they are not available to clients.
Unfortunately, cannot recommend.
Cindy is sweet and friendly, and posts beautiful galleries on her website.
We ordered prints from our lab of choice from both the 'high' file size we purchased for an additional cost, and from our (several year old) iphone, and the iphone photos are vastly higher quality than the 'professional' files we paid (an extra fee) for.
She will make adjustments to editing when the initial edit is not to your preference. Our photos were taken on a humid day (typical for the South) and there was a 'haze' in many photos...she credited the haze to the humidity..which is a very concerning statement for a professional photographer in the South, especially considering other people with similar cameras took non-hazy photos during the exact same time. The humidity/lighting needs to be ideal for your photos to come out at a high level. She did adjust them until we were happy with them (meaning, you could make out basic facial features, which was not the case the first time).
