I am highly disappointed with my first experience with this company, and it unfortunately began with a phone call. I called them to make a new patient appointment, in which no one answered and I received the voicemail.. I left a voicemail, with my name, number and asked for someone to please kindly call me back so I could make an appointment. I never received a phone call back, which highly upset me because I wouldn't have even mind a phone call back from someone stating they had no room for new patients; I just wanted that phone call back. Being someone who works in this kind of field, it is highly unprofessional; no matter how busy a business may get, you should always make time to call someone back, even if it's a week later.
I am actually one of the owners and the primary care provider for Women First. We manage this clinic with the thought of how we want to be treated, with respect and courtesy, and still stay within the guideline of best medical practices. Sometimes that includes testing that I, as a medical professional, feel is necessary. Sometimes that means that the patient's request for certain drugs will not be filled or will be given an alternative that I feel would be a better benefit and covered by insurance. I encourage all my patients to talk with us if they have a question or problem with billing and we will do our best to resolve it.
Excellent service. The wait can be long at times but it's usually worth it. They take the time to talk to you and explain things thoroughly. They do not hesitate to send you off for further testing. They go above and beyond to get results.
I've been with Women's First for 2 years now. I absolutely LOVE it. Darlene is my doctor and is AMAZING!!!! She really listens to you and doesn't just dismiss you. I would recommend 100%.
I've been to this clinic before with no problem, but the last time I went I scheduled for a simple pap so I could get a new prescription for my birth control. When I got the bill they charged me for not only the pap but for lab tests that I didn't request! Chlamydia and Gonorrhea test each with a $125 price tag on them. I expressed no concerns about these particular STD's and a simple question of whether I have them or not would have sufficed (I know I'm perfectly healthy!). They pulled the same stunt on my mother-in-law as well. Will not be returning to this clinic in the future.
